I am currently an Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Southern Mississippi, where I teach a wide range of undergraduate and graduate courses. My academic training came from American University (BA), North Carolina State University (MA), and the University of North Carolina (PhD). My "on the job" training came from the US House of Representatives, where I served as a Legislative Assistant to a senior member of the House Appropriations Committee.
